From the archive
The Polynesian Escape name appeared in travel reporting before this independent journal was launched. Keeping that history visible helps readers understand what belongs to the earlier activity and what has been written for the current site.
A documented connection to cultural travel
In a 1 September 2021 interview published by Condé Nast Traveler Spain, Rebecca Misner introduced Tahiarii Yoram Pariente and the adventure travel activity he founded under the name Polynesian Escape. The interview discussed his connection to Raiatea and the wider islands.
Read the original Condé Nast Traveler interview. It is historical reporting, not evidence that the same tours, contact details or business arrangements are available through this website today.
What continues here
The new journal retains an interest in the islands, cultural curiosity and considered travel. All launch articles are newly written. We have not reproduced the former operator’s offers, photographs or personal voice, and we do not claim affiliation with its founder.
What this archive is not
This page is a short source-based history, not a complete reconstruction of an earlier website. An Internet Archive availability lookup for the domain around January 2020 did not return a snapshot during our research. That limited result does not establish that no captures exist elsewhere or at other dates.
For current destination information, use the official sources linked in individual journal articles. For the purpose and standards of the new publication, see Our story and the editorial policy.
